NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Instructor Course

$175, AVGC members use the gate code for a $25 discount

Classroom instruction will be at High Desert Firearm Training located at 11120 Lancelet Ave, Apple Valley, CA starting at 8AM. We will be going to Apple Valley Gun Club for the Range portion of the class.

Prerequisites : You will be required to present your certificates of completion

Must already be an NRA Certified Pistol Instructor

Successfully completed NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Class as a student

Successfully completed NRA BIT (NRA Basic Instructor Training) in the previous 2 years

Successfully complete the pre-course qualification prior to the Instructor course which includes demonstration of safe gun handling, loading and unloading, clearing common pistol stoppages, and a shooting qualification at 7 yards.

Goal of this course:

To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Course for students.

Course Includes:

Classroom and Range time learning the knowledge and skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law abiding individual's right to self-defense. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Instructor Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students.

200 rounds of ammunition
Gun Belt
Holster
2 extra magazines or speedloaders
magazine pouch

Eye and ear protection

Notepad

An EMPTY 3 ring binder

Your Basics of Personal Protection Inside The Home book from when you took the class as a student (If you need a new book, they are available for $25)

NRA Instructor Courses are performance-based courses. Instructor candidates must possess the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for this level of training. You are not paying to automatically pass and become an NRA Instructor. You are given the opportunity to pass and become an NRA Certified Instructor.

All High Desert Firearm Training Classes are taught by experienced NRA, USCCA, Utah BCI, and CA DOJ Certified Firearm Instructors. Classes are located in Apple Valley or Victorville, CA. Range time is at 1 of 2 local ranges. All range fees are included in the cost of your class.

We are located in the High Desert and serve Hesperia, Victorville, Apple Valley and the surrounding areas. We are an easy drive from The Inland Empire, San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We offer many group classes, individual training, and instructor classes.
