This NRA Instructor Training Course will help you develop the KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ATTITUDE, and techniques needed to organize and teach the NRA Basic Shotgun course. This class includes classroom and range time learning to how to teach the safe handling and firing of shotguns. You will need a clean and functioning shotgun of your choosing, 50 rounds of target shells appropriate for your shotgun, eye and ear protection, and a packed lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day.
Candidates must attend and fully participate in every portion of the class, score a 90% or higher on the written examination, and pass the shooting qualification. BIT (Basic Instructor Training) must have been completed in the past two years. If this is your first instructor level course, BIT (Basic Instructor Training) is required prior to taking this class. I can do this for you, as well. Email me, and we can work out a time beforehand.
