About this event

The Alaska Postsecondary Access & Completion Network (AlaskaCAN) in partnership with the Alaska Association of School Boards (AASB) is hosting the NOW FOR NEXT Workshop on Monday, November 7th at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Alaska. The theme of the Workshop is Turning the Curve on Alaska's Postsecondary Outcomes.

We envision a future where each student has a plan for their future, families feel supported and valued, communities have the leaders they need, and employers have the Alaskan workforce they desire. Together, we can explore what we can do NOW to help Alaskan students prepare FOR what's NEXT, and turn the curve on Alaska's postsecondary outcomes from last to best.

We are hoping to have individuals representing the following sectors attend and join the conversation:

  • school board members
  • school districts staff
  • students and families representing communities
  • employers and industry partners
  • postsecondary education and career training stakeholders
  • workforce development professionals

The Workshop is free to attend but space is limited. Reach out to Emily Ferry at eferry@aasb.org with any additional questions.
