About this event

  • 1 hour

Signe Pierce is an American multimedia artist known for her work in the fields of photography, performance, and video. Her work often focuses on themes of identity, the body, and technology, and frequently features her own image in surreal and highly staged scenes which challenge societal norms and conventions. Pierce's highly stylized images and provocative lyrics aim to spark conversations which encourage self-reflection about what it means to be real in an increasingly simulated age. Pierce will provide an interactive and entertaining experience while in conversation with art writer Cassie Packard. Her video works and performances have been shown at MoMA, New York, Athens Biennial, Athens, Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the New Museum, New York.
