We are excited to invite subscribers to join us for a conversation we have been trying to put together for almost five years.
From 1979 until 1983, the monthly publication Skyline stood at the nexus of the architecture culture of New York. Though its life was short, in its two iterations—first edited by Andrew MacNair and then by Suzanne Stephens—it became an inspiration for a raft of later publications, including New York Review of Architecture, where it lives on in our eponymous column.
We are gathering some of the key players to discuss how the publication came about and worked. Join Suzanne Stephens, two of its former designers—Lorraine Wild and Michael Bierut—and the founder and director of the IAUS, Peter Eisenman, for a conversation at Pentagram about the architect's tabloid.
There is limited capacity and we expect it to fill up quickly. There is no charge to attend, we only require that you be a subscriber.
