Now more than ever, films and filmmakers can not only create compelling narratives and commentaries but also help to shape social and political opinion around issues that matter. But as the art of visual storytelling and creators have evolved, how are these stories reaching the right audiences, getting funded and able to make an impact?
Join Northside Innovation and The Yard for this exciting panel exploring: what is the point of an impact producer or community screenings campaigns, how can new ecosystems be developed to support independent filmmakers by tapping new revenue sources, and how to foster citizen engagement, civic dialogue, and social equity through film, while also generating an economic return.
