    Abour our speakers:

    Matt Bright is the Executive Director of Earth Sangha. Matt has worked closely with ecologists, botanists, and park managers across the Northern Virginia region on plant conservation and ecological restoration projects over the years, including a brief stint interning at Huntley Meadows Park. He regularly teaches for the Arlington Regional Master Naturalist chapter and serves on the steering committee for the National Capitol Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management.

    Dan Schwartz, Soil Scientist, is a member of the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District soil survey update team and provides soil information to the public and agency staff. He also helps organize county-wide watershed clean-ups in the fall and spring.

    Alex Thompson was born and educated in the United Kingdom and came to landscape design as a second career after working for the federal government. She has a Master's Degree in Landscape Design from George Washington University and is a principal designer at Native Plant Landscape Design.
