About this event

  • Event lasts 2 days 6 hours
  • ALL AGES
  • Free venue parking

Inspired by Buy Nothing groups and Freecycle, this is a one-stop shop for affordable and sustainable living. Think of it like a garage sale, but everything is being given away!

Once you clean out your storage space and set aside what you’d like to get rid of, bring it to us on one of our collection days (Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2). We’ll set up everything for display, and whatever isn’t taken by one of our neighbors at the end of the event, we’ll find the next best home for. It’s that easy— bring your stuff to us, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Our needed/prohibited items list is available here.

Next, there’ll be a preview exclusive to our nonprofit partners who work in our communities (Friday, May 2). Once they’ve had a chance to look through the collection, we’re opening our doors to the neighborhood (Saturday, May 3)! There’s no admission fee and no donation requirement— just make sure to remember a reusable bag to bring your new treasures home.

Please reach out with any questions— especially if you're interested in volunteering with us!

(Note: we are not affiliated with the Buy Nothing Project or Freecycle— but we’re fans of their work!)

Frequently asked questions

Which items can I bring to drop off? Are there prohibited items?

We have a wanted/prohibited items list in the event description, so please make sure to look at it before you make a dropoff! For example, we are not taking any clothing at this time. We have the right to turn away any and all items, especially as the space fills.

When can I drop off my items?

We will be ready to collect your items between Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2 between noon and 6 PM. Please note that we need to poke through the boxes to make sure there are no prohibited items. To avoid bringing these, please make sure to reference our needed/prohibited items list.

Do I need to donate any items to shop? How many items can I take?

Nope! This is completely free, no strings attached. Please take as many of the items available as you'd like— the point is to get as many things as you need for free.

Are there tickets? Do I need to reserve a time slot?

You do not need a ticket! Come whenever you like during the listed hours for each day.

Is this venue ADA accessible?

Yes! The items will be on the bottom floor, and we have an accessible entrance near a working elevator. We will also have volunteers ready to help you get items in or out.

Is there parking available?

Technically, yes— but this will be extremely limited, with some spaces reserved for our volunteers. Be prepared to park nearby and walk a couple of blocks, especially on shop day.

Do you need volunteers to set up or take down?

Absolutely— please reach out if you're interested in volunteering!
