Get social and inspired by environmental art
Join sustainable sisters for a fun night out on Thursay, July 13th at the Evanston Art Center. As an added treat, the Center will be featuring three artists whose work focuses on important environmental issues that affect our community and beyond. Bonnie Peterson, a textile artist, examines climate science issues through the narrative lens of Geoscience Embroidery. Nelson Armour and Ted Glasoe collaborate in this traveling photography exhibit, Surface Tension: Beauty and Fragility in Lake Michigan that explores the hidden but profound threats to our local treasure. Debra Favre, Vice President of the Board of Trustees, will speak on behalf of the Evanston Art Center.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Please RSVP by July 10.
