One of the biggest concerns of seniors is if their forgetfulness is something that they must worry about. What’s a normal part of aging vs concern for dementia? As we age, we do tend to forget some things here and there which is normal but how do you know if it’s something else? Join us for this enlightening discussion and have your questions answered.


Part 2

Signs, Symptoms and Stages of Dementia

June 12th from 3-4 pm

Dementia is a progressive disease which isn’t always the same for each person. Join us to learn what you could expect and what each stage looks like.

Presented by Maggie Kuriakose from Wingate Residences on the East Side. Maggie has a master’s degree in health care management and has worked in the healthcare industry for over 25 years. Maggie enjoys helping to educate and support those with dementia and their families. She will be joined by Marcelina "Lina" Leheny, Memory Care Director at Wingate Residences on the East Side. Lina is a certified dementia practitioner and has over 20 years of experience working with the senior community. She is passionate about being part of providing a loving, caring homelike environment where residents can thrive.
