The viral hashtag #notonmywatch was created by Rose L. Horton, MSM, RNC-OB, NEA-BC, FAAN, in 2017 because of her frustration at the rising rate of maternal morbidity and mortality. The hashtag is a call to action for her fellow nurses, as the largest healthcare employee contingent, to use their collective voices in caring for all birthing people.
