About this event

  • 1 day 7 hours

North Los Angeles County Regional Center, in partnership with Mains'l, is excited to announce upcoming workshops open to: providers, families, and those we serve.

Please join us as we continue our learning and deepen our understanding of Person Centered Practices! Identifying different philosophies and resources focused on Person Centered Practices. Providing participants applicable tools that you can use when leaving the training.

Person Centered Thinking (PCT®) focuses on empowering people to have positive control in their lives. PCT approaches respectfully address issues of health and safety from a variety of perspectives.

The use of PCT skills helps us get to know people, discover how to respectively support them, and keep learning as we act upon what we hear. The skills taught during the training are effective with all people, and are especially helpful for individuals and teams.

This interactive training will focus on:

Learning to balance what is important TO a person and what is important FOR a person

Practicing PCT Discovery Skills that help us better understand a good balance for the person and how to best support them

Introducing PCT Everyday Learning Skills to capture ongoing learning and support the person to create a life they envision.

You must attend both days of the training in order to receive a certificate of completion and 12 CEU's. This training is two days- 7/31 & 8/1 9:00-4:30pm.
