The National Job Corps Association is excited to present the NJCA Mental Health Mini Conference on May 10th, immediately after the 2024 NJCA Spring Conference.

BONUS SESSION: On May 9th at 9:00 am, Mini -Conference registrants may attend the Mental Health and Wellness Session presented by the Office of Job Corps and Humanitas, as a part of the NJCA Spring Conference.

Our official Mini -Conference begins with the Welcome Reception for registrants and presenters on Thursday, May 9 at 4:30 p.m. Sessions will begin on Friday, May 10th. This Mini-Conference will take place at The Westin Alexandria Old Town 400 Courthouse Square, Alexandria, Virginia, 22314.

This event has been designed to empower mental health and wellness professionals across the Job Corps Community with practical and effective tools. Sessions will address topics ranging from trauma informed care to reducing stigma to addressing burnout. A detailed agenda will be released closer to the event date.

We encourage registrants to attend the Bonus Session on May 9th at 9:00 a.m. and the Welcome Reception at 4:30 p.m. to meet other attendees and presenters. Sessions will begin on May 10th at 9:00 a.m.

Non members can attend at a higher rate.

Refund Policy: The NJCA will not issue refunds. Registrants may request that their registration fee be credited toward a future NJCA event.

THE NJCA has a special group rate of $279 per night single/double. Be sure to make your reservations by the extended cut-off date of April 15. Our rate will be extended two days before and after our meeting dates for your convenience.

Getting to the Conference

The Westin Old Town is conveniently located approximately 4.4 miles south of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The Westin Alexandria Old Town (703-253-8600) provides a complimentary shuttle from the King Street Metro Station.

Other area airports include Washington Dulles (IAD) and Thurgood Marshall Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).

The National Job Corps Association, Inc. (NJCA) is a 501 (c) (6) professional trade association comprised of business, labor, volunteer, advocacy, academic and community organizations. NJCA was founded in 1998 by 38 charter member organizations consisting largely of the for-profit and non-profit contractors that operated the then 118 Job Corps centers around the nation.  Since 1998, the membership of the NJCA has more than doubled and grown to include employer and community partners.  By uniting these stakeholders, the NJCA has strengthened the Job Corps through government relations, grassroots education and outreach, informing national policy, and outreach campaigns that increase the visibility of Job Corps.
