About this event

  • 1 hour

In the face of growing questions around research integrity in what is being termed an Age of Misinformation, several strategies that address trust in the scholarly record are being developed. The webinar participants are involved in the formation of new trust measures. These measures involve exploring algorithms for detecting trust markers in research manuscripts and labeling articles with measures of their adherence to scholarly standards. These measures have implications for developing critical information skills in educational curricula and how can libraries and publishers work together to teach and cultivate vital skills necessary for today’s academic success. There’s a place, then, for new approaches, and new information standards, to ensure that research is a source of trusted information to which the public and researchers can turn with greater assurance. Join us to explore ways that stakeholders are contributing to greater access and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for elevating learning and integrity around the circulation of research.
