Welcome to the Night Hike on Tulare Hill event! Get ready for an exciting adventure under the stars on Fri Jun 21 2024 at 7:30 . We will meet at 605 Tennant Ave, we will carpool to the site together. Join us for a fun-filled evening exploring the beautiful trails of Tulare Hill. Don't forget to bring your flashlight and comfortable shoes! This is a great opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy the great outdoors. See you there!

The Tulare Hill Ecological Preserve includes 116 acres of open space land dedicated to the protection of the Bay Checkerspot Butterfly, California red legged frog, and other threatend and endangered species. This site is located in south San Jose and is not open to the public.

How long is the hike?

The hike is about 1.5 miles on a nonpaved, rocky farm road.

What should I bring?

Closed toed shoes, layers (it gets a bit chilly at the top of the hill!), headlamp, and water. If you do not have a headlamp one will be provided for you.
