NextGrid Updates & Public Comment Sessions

On behalf of NextGrid Lead Study Facilitators Dr. George Gross and Dr. Peter Sauer, and Illinois Commerce Commission Chairman Brien J. Sheahan, you are invited to attend the upcoming NextGrid: Utility of the Future Study Updates and Public Comment Sessions, to be held in Champaign-Urbana on August 15th and in Carbondale on August 16th . These sessions offer stakeholders and the general public the opportunity to hear information about the progress of the study from NextGrid project leaders. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and offer verbal and written comments to be considered by the Lead Facilitator as they develop the NextGrid report. 
The NextGrid study is comprised of seven different Working Groups. Descriptions about each of the Working Groups can be found at the <A HREF="https://nextgrid.illinois.gov/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NextGrid Website.</A>  Presentations overviewing Working Groups #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 &amp; #7 will be given, after which the public will have the opportunity to ask questions or offer written or verbal comments.

Those who wish to comment verbally should register in advance, sign in at the meeting and fill out a speaker card.  In order to accommodate as many speakers as possible, there will be a time limit set for verbal comments; however, written comments of any length will be accepted from any member of the public who attends.  A formal agenda is available by clicking here.   The public is also encouraged to visit the NextGrid website and review a draft copy of the introductory chapter, as well as draft reports for Working Groups #1, #2, #3, #4 and #6.
