We encourage attendees to wear what makes them comfortable. We suggest business professional attire like skirts, slacks, khakis, blouses, collared shirts, and button-down shirts. Suit coats, sports jackets, and ties are welcomed, but optional.

This event is free - how is it funded?

The NextCycle Michigan program is funded by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE). Additional support is provided by program partners and event sponsors. Learn more about these entities at www.NextCycleMichigan.com.

Why do I need to select a ticket category?

We have allocated a specific number of tickets to each category to ensure we have seats available for the various groups involved in making this event possible. For example, not only will the teams be pitching their projects, but they will also be audience members listening to other teams pitch.

Organized by

NextCycle Michigan is a business accelerator-style program designed to support entrepreneurs, nonprofits, businesses, and communities as they develop projects that divert waste from landfills and strengthen a circular economy in the state. Selected teams will participate in a six-month program where they attend a two-day Accelerator Academy, receive one-on-one consulting and technical support to develop business/operational plans and marketing strategies, connect with potential suppliers and partners, identify funding pathways, and refine project pitches. The program culminates with teams sharing their work and competing for monetary awards during a showcase event.
