Sony Innovation Fund is dedicated to engaging with innovative stage startups to help fuel the development of disruptive technologies and launch of new businesses.◘ Developers ShowcasesAbout a month and a half ago, we went out to the community with the challenge to come up with ideas for Augmented Reality apps that could benefit from what ReSight is providing: a persistent, multi-user memory layer on top of reality.The response was immense and almost a hundred groups proceeded to submit their ideas to the challenge. The submissions came from four continents, and from over 20 countries, each one with its unique background.We chose to share with you a few of the top submissions from teams who took it all the way to a working prototype in less than just a few weeks! Unfortunately, we can&#x27;t present everyone, but be sure that all the competitors did a great job.Projects:Patrick O&#x27;Shaughnessey and Wade Tinney are a team of augmented reality and game development veterans. They have a combined 17 years of augmented reality experience. His background is Sculpture/mixed media including 3D animation, motion graphics, interactive installations, and early experiments with AR (since 2004), with experience in vuforia, ARKit, and now ARFoundation.Arne Nostitz Rieneck and Christan Knapp come from a background in storytelling in film and commercials, their focus gradually shifted to augmented and mixed reality. Stepping out of the boundaries of the screen and bringing the narratives into the world around us opens up a whole universe of imagination. She is an experienced web developer, tech education instructor, and writer. Lauren has also written two children’s books, Z is for Zuri Monster and ABCs of the Galaxy. Her first novel is currently being developed under her book publishing company Lo&amp;BeholdZachary Aghaizu is an artist, creator, musician &amp; developer from an animation educational background, he loves being creative and has been drawn into AR through spark AR filters about a year ago. Fast forward to today he is releasing multiple AR apps in iOS &amp; Android built-in Unity that he taught himself in autodidact fashion.
