Announcing NewsBash 2025 benefiting Breast Care for Washington!

DC NewsBash, the charity event that raises funds and awareness for breast cancer causes, announces its 15th annual event on Tuesday, October 21, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the <a href="https://capitolhillroyal.sonesta.com/" title="https://capitolhillroyal.sonesta.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill</a>.The DC NewsBash was founded in 2009 by the DC Newswomen, a collective of 40+ anchors across every major network in the DC region who have banded together to make an impact on their community.We invite supporters, survivors, and friends to help raise awareness and critical funds for this year's beneficiary, <a href="https://breastcaredc.org/" title="https://breastcaredc.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Breast Care for Washington</a>. Breast Care for Washington works to reduce breast cancer mortality by providing access to screenings, diagnostics, and treatment referrals for all women in the D.C. area, regardless of ability to pay. Located in Ward 8, it is the only stationary 3D mammography facility embedded within a community health clinic in the District, serving medically underserved women east of the Anacostia River. Partnering with local health centers like Community of Hope, Unity Health Care, La Clínica del Pueblo, and Whitman-Walker Health, Breast Care for Washington offers care coordination and support throughout the screening process.A Mammogram Maven ticket includes your name listed on the NewsBash Mammogram Maven wall, PLUS you'll land a coveted VIP bag filled with the NewsBash committee's favorites.
