Join us for our free (no tickets needed) **Newport's 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration!** on **Saturday, Jun 15, 2024** at **Washington Square** for a day filled with music, food, and fun as we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. This in-person event will start at **9:00 AM** and will feature live performances, local vendors, and activities for all ages. Come together with the community to honor this important day in history and celebrate freedom and unity. Don't miss out on this special event!

This family-friendly free event features food trucks from throughout New England, free crafts and games for children, live performances of music, cultural dancing, story tellers, historical reenactors, local vendors and more! Special appearances from Rhode Island Governor, Dan McKee, US Senators Jack Reed and Sheldon Whitehouse, US Representative Gabe Amo, and Newport Mayor Xay Khamsyvoravong.
