Welcome to Marwen! Our mission is to educate and inspire young people to nurture their growth and build their futures through art and community. Marwen’s no-cost programs exist for young artists in Chicago who want to explore visual arts, are in 6th-12th grades, and do not have access to arts programming due to financial and systemic barriers. Marwen exists to empower young people through free visual arts, college planning, and career development programs. Our mission is rooted in the following values: community, collaboration, celebration, joy and belonging. At Marwen, we strive to center the experiences of young people and their families. Through imagination and curiosity, we encourage young artists to take creative risks and seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. We believe young people have incredible stories to share with the world and the power to create and shape our future.
