Experience a showcase of fresh, innovative plays by talented playwrights. Immerse yourself in a world of imagination and inspiration as we bring these new works to life. Frequently asked questions

Are ALL the readings free?

Yes! At NACT, we want to make professional theatre accessible to everyone! Just be sure to make a reservation in order to save your spot.

Are there assigned seats?

No. Seating is open and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Why do I need a reservation?

We ask you to reserve so we know when we are at capacity.

Do I need to make a reservation for each performance I would like to attend?

Yes!

Can I see more than one show?

Yes! We encourage you to come to see all four of the wonderful new plays!

Where can I park?

There is free parking at the museum, behind the museum and at several public lots around downtown Ventura.

Is there somewhere to get a bite to eat before or after the show?

Yes! There are many terrific restaurants, bars and coffee shops in downtown Ventura - all within walking distance from the museum.

Is there food available at the event?

We will not be selling food at Festival '24, but there will be wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase at our concession stand.

Prohibited Items/Security

New Art City Theatre is committed to the safety and security of all patrons at Festival '24. ALL bags will be searched before entry. Bags will be restricted to small purses, totes and drawstring bags only. No backpacks, please.
