Nevertheless She Preached 2020

Nevertheless She Preached is a collective of innovators who curate an annual conference that elevates and centers female, queer, and BIPOC voices. These wisdom workers offer transformative theologies of liberation and critical reflection of our social and religious contexts. We create brave space for faith leaders and justice makers to experience healing and be valued in community as their authentic selves. Together we pursue freedom from the toxic power of patriarchy, colonization, racism, and heteronormativity.

You'll receive email invites to all of the zoom groups via email. Nevertheless She Preached exists to empower all people to dismantle patriarchal structures by elevating voices of faith leaders on the margins, especially <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/14/style/womxn.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">womxn</a> and sexual minorities of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Founded in Waco, Texas in 2017 to combat the lack of female representation in Baptist seminaries and churches, Nevertheless She Preached rapidly grew to become a national, ecumenical movement that centers and celebrates the perspectives of those on the margins. All people are invited to join us in the work of dismantling the patriarchy together! Our 2020 featured speakers include Amy Butler, Traci Blackmon, Tuhina Rasche, Nicole Garcia, Nikki Young, Margaret Aymer, and Jennifer Knapp! --We are very intentional about keeping registration costs low so that everyone who wants to be a part can attend. (If you need help with the cost of registration, we will have scholarship applications available soon!) This means that ticket sales fund only a portion of the cost of the conference. If you have the means to give more, or if you can't attend but want to support NSP and our ongoing mission, your contribution would be so appreciated and put to excellent use!
