The SCHF, a non-profit organization, maintains the Southern Cultural Heritage Center in Vicksburg, MS. The Center is a Mississippi Landmark property and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is formerly the St. Francis Xavier Convent and Academy and is one of the most architecturally and historically significant city blocks in downtown. The Foundation is committed to preserving the history and architecture of the Cultural Center, while offering cultural, artistic and educational programs for the community.Your support of the Foundation helps with the restoration of the five buildings in the historic complex and the continuation of a rich tradition in arts and cultural education. “Never Too Late to Create” with Karen Biedenharn Event Name: “Never Too Late to Create” Art WorkshopPresenter: Karen BiedenharnDates: Wednesday, January 28, at 5:30p.m.Admission: $35/person, $30/SCHF Members (includes all supplies) Description: The Southern Cultural Heritage Center presents “Never Too Late to Create” with Karen Biedenharn on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 5:30pm. This will be a “Starters” watercolor class and will be held in the SCHC Academy building. The fee is $35/person, but only $30/SCHF Members and includes all supplies. Karen says, “Want to play with watercolor to see if it could be your thing? Join us in January…I’ll bring the supplies. We’ll do 30 minutes of exercises to show you some techniques, then a simple landscape and a floral to help you exercise those methods. It will be fun and easy.
