Nevada Nursery Professional Training Program

NV Nursery Professional Training Program, sponsored by the University of NV Extension, is an extensive course taught by subject matter experts and green industry professionals providing an opportunity for green industry workers to expand their knowledge on the following topics:

• plant biology
• tree selection and care
• irrigation
• plant taxonomy/plant ID
• soil and fertilizers
• and more

The session begins on June 1 and continues through August 10, 2026.

In person classes meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 2pm - 5pm.

Each class consists of a 2 hour lecture and a 1 hour experiential lab.

The labs encourage team building skills, investigation of subjects, and resource exploration of topics.

The cost to register is $300 per person.

This registration fee covers all books, materials and some refreshments.
