Nerd Nite St. Pete is a a monthly lecture-in-a-bar series that strives for an inebriated, salacious, yet deeply academic vibe.

We all know that learning is more fun when you’re drinking with friends. Nerd Nite operates in over a hundred cities around the globe including our city - St. Pete! This lecture event strives for an inebriated, salacious, yet deeply academic vibe. Several presenters totally geek out for 20 minutes each while guests drink and socialize. It’s like Ted Talk– with beer! Drink, learn, connect, and talk about fun, interesting stuff!
Doors open at 6:30pm. Presentations begin promptly at 7pm. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door.

COVID isn't the only thing that went viral these past three years.
Dawn Hunter wanted to be a neurosurgeon when she grew up. While shaky hands mean that’s probably never going to happen, Dawn is currently a public health lawyer who loves talking about chronic and infectious disease and the laws that keep people healthy. She is the person in the office spraying Lysol around sick coworkers. Dawn calls both New Mexico and Florida home, and this is her second stint in St. Pete, having previously lived here for more than a decade. Dawn misses the green chile but loves being close to the beach again.

Valentwe'en, the Supernatural and Q&As, Oh My!
The SPIRITS of St Petersburg will about their latest local investigations, including recorded phenomenon in Roser Park. Learn more about Valentwe'en as we slowly but surely convert the month of February into second October. And the audience is can bring ghost stories or images for review to see how a paranormalist would handle such things!
Brandy Stark is a part-time professor, artist, and paranormalist. She founded the SPIRITS of St Petersburg in 1997 and it's the longest running paranormal team in the Tampa Bay area. She has a studio in the haunted building of ArtLofts, the longest running artist studio in St Petersburg. And she has a vast knowledge of history and culture via her six academic degrees of Kevin Bacon.
