The start of 2019 marks a great year for pop singer-songwriter and New York native Neil Davis, who recently made his Carnegie Hall debut performing with two-time Grammy Award winner Lauren Daigle in January. Influenced by the city's rich culture, authentic edge, and relevant music scene, Davis has been conquering the music industry as an independent artist for nearly a decade and creating quite the 'buzz' while doing so. His self-written debut album 'In My Mind' has gained major attention via independent radio with close to a half million streams, and national television exposure for his single ‘Smile’ - which has been placed on NBC's Today Show in 2013.

After suddenly losing his father in 2017, Neil’s world came to a full stop and so did plans to release a recently recorded EP. “I was going through such shock and loss, that I felt like what I had already recorded wasn’t relevant anymore.” Since then, Neil has been able to open up about his story with a brand new single titled “Not Better,” which explores his experience with grieving and loss, and will be available everywhere on March 14th, 2019.

Neil's talent was discovered at an early age after receiving a toy keyboard for Christmas as a toddler, fating music as his first language. After many self-taught years on the piano, Neil continued to develop his talent while attending the Frank Sinatra High School for the Arts in Queens NY, founded by entertainer Tony Bennett. Since then, Neil has performed on major television networks including MTV and CBS, and has had the opportunity to collaborate with many of his favorite musicians over the years. He has opened up for the Dave Matthews Band, and has had the privilege to perform infront of iconic figures including Nelson Mandela, Tony Bennett, and Britney Spears.

Neil's passion and work in music surpasses the stage-lights. He has been on the professional artist roster at NYC based arts organization, 'Sing For Hope' since 2012, where he volunteers to bring the healing powers of music to hospital bedsides and under-served schools. "Music has been extremely therapeutic throughout my life, so to be able to give back and share that with others is completely rewarding."

Through years of practice, persistence, and performing, Neil has managed to maintain an extremely upbeat, positive attitude about his career. "Even though the pursuit of music can be extremely frustrating at times, when you have a natural desire to do something, it's unavoidable," he says. "If someone wants it bad enough, their passion and drive will get them there. For me, nothing can get in the way."

Neil Davis’ brand new EP is slated for release later this year, along with upcoming tour dates. In the meantime, his music can be heard everywhere music is sold or streamed including iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, and Amazon.
