Have faith in yourself! You can be an excellent video influencer by combining your skills as a techie or an entrepreneur.

<p>Video consumption habits have changed over the past decades, especially among Millennials and Gen Zs’ consumers with short attention spans and a deep reliance on their smartphones. In 2021 TikTok surpassed one billion users in the US and traditional marketing and advertising just don’t resonate with this generation. That year, YouTube attracted near 2 billion users. The video platform's annual ad revenues amounted to 28.84 billion U.S. dollars, a 30.4 percent increase year-on-year. Influencers are used by brands to sell their products and make them more relevant to people's lives. For both businesses and individuals, video marketing has become an essential component of their marketing strategies. Making a video is an important part of content marketing and a beneficial technique to master.</p><p>We ask John Wang to speak on the process of using business and technical skills to make persuading videos in this closing session of the NECINA Multimedia Workshop. Aaron Chen and Anna Jiang, workshop lecturers, will present analysis and insights on video of workshop participants as well as other selected videos. There will be special rewards announced.</p>
