Then come say hello to the Blockchain Operating System (BOS) — NEAR’s OS for an open web — at an ETHCC side event NEAR Foundation is hosting in Paris, July 16-17.  </p><p>If you’re building on Ethereum or other layer 1 blockchains, then you definitely will want to attend these events. NEAR experts, including NEAR co-founder and Pagoda CEO Illia Polosukhin and Director of Protocol at Pagoda Bowen Wang, will be on site to share the latest updates and insights on building apps on the BOS. </p><p>The BOS is an industry-first OS that makes it easy to use the tools you already know, like Javascript, to create apps that engage and delight users. Whether you're building on Ethereum, NEAR or another chain, the BOS lets you quickly create and distribute new apps and experiences using forkable components and decentralized frontends, all while being able to seamlessly onboard user without the need for crypto -  all in one browser.</p><p>You’ll also get a chance to connect with the team behind NEAR Horizon — the new Web3 startup platform built on the BOS— to find out how your project can get funding and support. </p><p></p>

<h2>N﻿ear Horizon Pitch Afternoon </h2><h3>On July 17th, NEAR Horizon is organizing a founders pitching workshop and pitch event, followed by a networking happy hour. </h3><p>O﻿n the afternoon of the 17th, you will be able to participate in workshops that cover a range of topics including an introduction to Horizon, tips on how to elevate a pitch and secure funding, and more. Once the workshops wrap up, the pitch event will begin. Accepted projects will be able to pitch their ideas and get valuable 1:1 time with top VCs in Web3. </p><p>Prizes for Pitch it Forward:</p><p>NEAR Horizon Credits can be used to spend on any service provider or contributor in the Horizon ecosystem.
