NEAL & THE VIPERS, a band based in Warren, Rhode Island, specialize in American Roots Music, which incorporates blues, rock & roll, rockabilly, and surf genres. Their energetic performances entertain fans everywhere, and you’re bound to get bitten by the Vipers and catch the fever at one of their many music festivals and club shows. This is why they’re regarded as New England’s premier American Roots Band.

NEAL & THE VIPERS have had the privilege of sharing the stage with many music legends, including B.B. King, Roy Buchanan, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Albert Collins, Greg Allman, Jimmy Vaughan, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Willie Dixon, Johnny Copeland, Robert Plant, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.

Concerts will be held under the tent on the HMM Waterfront, rain or shine. You are welcome to bring your own lawn chairs, but we also provide tables, chairs, and picnic tables on-site for your convenience. Restrooms are available as well. Please note that online ticket sales close at 3:30 pm on the day of the event. Full series passes are available for Museum Members Only from any concert's ticket page. Reliance Society and Afterguard Members can attend at no cost by RSVPing ahead of time. For more information, check out our Music Series FAQ.

Frequently asked questions

When does the show start?

Concerts begin at 6pm. Check-in will open a few minutes beforehand.

Where are my tickets?

Our tickets are digital and will not be physically mailed to you. When you arrive, please check in using the name used to purchase the tickets.

Is the concert series accessible for individuals with disabilities?

Yes. All concerts are outdoors. Although our outdoor restrooms are not wheelchair accessible, a staff member can escort you to our indoor facilities. Special parking is available for mobility needs upon request. Our staff is here to help whatever you may need to enjoy the show!

Is the concert series suitable for kids?

The Summer Sunset Concert Series is open to all ages, providing children are accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 can attend for free, while those aged 11 to 17 are eligible for the membership-discounted ticket rate.

I bought tickets for myself and some friends. What if my friends and I are arriving separately?

That's cool! Please instruct your friends to drop your name at the check-in table when they arrive. And feel free to forward this web page to them so they are ready for the show.

Will tickets be available at the event?

Yes. You can purchase tickets online until 3:30pm on the day of the event. If you miss the online purchase window, don't worry! Additional tickets will be available for sale at check-in starting at 6pm. We accept all forms of payment, so you can choose the one that works best for you.

Can I bring food?

Yes. Feel free to bring your own food and drinks to the concert! Alternatively, delicious refreshments will be available for purchase from our food trucks and caterers. Either way, we want you to enjoy a great picnic experience while you enjoy the show.

Do you sell alcohol?

While we do not sell alcohol, we do allow guests of legal drinking age to bring their own alcoholic beverages to the concert series events. Please note that all open alcoholic beverages MUST remain on the waterfront property and we kindly ask that you drink responsibly.

Can I bring my own lawn chair?

Absolutely! We will be providing chairs and picnic tables for all concerts. However, you are welcome to bring your own preferred lawn chair if you'd like.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. We love dogs and would be thrilled to have them join you at the concert series, as long as they are well-behaved and kept on a leash. lease be courteous and clean up after your pet, should they leave any droppings behind. If your dog becomes disruptive or reactive, we may ask you to relocate.

What if it rains?

Concerts will be held rain or shine. Our waterfront tent will protect you and the performers from the rain during the show.

Are there bathrooms?

Yes. Restrooms are available for all guests on the waterfront. If you require access to a handicapped bathroom, please let one of our staff members know, and we will be happy to provide you with the assistance you need.

What about parking?

Parking is available first-come, first-served. You are welcome to park in the Museum parking lot along Burnside St. Overflow parking is on the lawn, High Street, or Burton Street. Be careful not to block other cars, driveways, or lawn access. Parking on the waterfront is reserved for mobility needs

Can I buy tickets to other upcoming shows while I'm there?

Yes! Tickets to future shows can be purchased on our website or at check-in during the concerts.

What if it rains?

Concerts will be held rain or shine. Our waterfront tent will protect you and the performers from the rain during the show.

Can I become a member?

Yes! To maximize your experience, we encourage you to sign up for a membership before purchasing your tickets. However, if you purchased a non-member ticket and decide at the show to become a member, we will be happy to credit the difference to your new membership in person.

I'm a Sponsor/VIP, what should I do?

Thank you for supporting the Summer Concert Series! Please RSVP beforehand by phone or email. At the concert, a staff member will instruct you to your reserved seating at check-in.

Covid Safety:

We welcome masks but they are not required. We kindly request that non-vaccinated guests wear masks. If you have any Covid-like symptoms or have recently tested positive, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending the event. Please contact us, we will be happy to transfer your ticket. Thank you
