National Disability Employment Awareness Month Event: Improving Disability Inclusion in the Workplace

Join us on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM for a DePaul community-wide event aimed at enhancing disability inclusion in the workplace. We're excited to host this hybrid event at the Lincoln Park Student Center, Room 314AB, and via Zoom Webinar.

Our distinguished guest speaker is Laura Wilhelm, who serves as the Executive Director of Disability:IN Chicagoland. Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of disability inclusion, making her insights invaluable.

This event's primary goal is to cultivate a more inclusive and accessible work environment for individuals with disabilities. We believe that by coming together, we can make significant strides towards achieving this objective.

Laura Wilhelm is the Executive Director of Disability:IN Chicagoland, managing the program for the past 7 years. The business-to-business network is Illinois’ only association which supports disability inclusion in the workplace, marketplace and supply chain. She has more than 10 years of experience in supporting corporate disability inclusion efforts and has served on several local and state-wide task forces to promote employment for workers with disabilities. Prior to this, she managed a national advertising campaign to build awareness for the business case for disability employment and practiced law with a focus on healthcare and disability.
