This 8-week VIRTUAL entry-level Medical Terminology course is designed for individuals looking to build a strong foundation in medical language. Students will learn essential medical terms, abbreviations, and word structures used in healthcare settings. The course prepares participants for further studies in healthcare careers, including nursing, medical assisting, and other allied health professions. This is even great for people looking to change careers and go into the health profession, or even open up more career opportunities. Schedule:

  • Session A: Mondays 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time)
    (Check your time zone before registering.)

Classroom Instructions & Requirements:

Course Format:

  • Video-based lectures for structured learning.
  • Google Classroom is required for accessing homework, lecture materials, notes, and grades.
  • A Gmail account is required to join Google Classroom.

Eligibility:

  • Must be High School senior or older to attend.
  • Students must select one session—switching times after the course begins is not allowed.

Attendance & Conduct Policy:

  • Students with three or more absences will be dropped from the course.
  • Instructor reserves the right to drop students who do not follow class policies.
