Join us for a FREE concert featuring The Phoenix Jazz Collective, Caramelo Trio, Animal Crackers, and Gretchen Koehler with Barb Heller!

Gulick Theater (Noble Center) at St. Lawrence University

Four great groups, one great price: $0. The evening begins with Animal Crackers, a four-piece playing music for kids of all ages, you may recognize one of their tunes, &quot;Hank Robar&#x27;s Blues&quot; is featured in the documentary Potty Town. Gretchen Koehler is next, she&#x27;s accompanied by guitarist (and NCPR String Fever host) Barb Heller. Koehler&#x27;s lively style &#x27;fuses the danceability of authentic traditional fiddling with the finesse of a classical violinist.&#x27; The Caramelo Trio are next on stage. They play a unique blend of Latin American folk music on guitar, cello, and cajon. Last but not least, The Phoenix Jazz Collective will take you right back to New York City&#x27;s Birdland circa 1958 with their classic jazz sound. This concert is part of NCPR&#x27;s Underscore Project, which celebrates North Country musicians. It takes place at the Gulick Theater on the St. Lawrence University campus in Canton, NY. You can reserve up to 5 free tickets. This event is made possible by NCPR supporters like you (at ncpr.org/give) and by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council. After parking cross the service drive (Romoda) proceed along the walkway west to the theater entrance, indicated in red type in the map below.
