This year’s conference “Expanding Vision Beyond 20/20 for the Future" will have Continuing Education Credits available for Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Preschool-12th Grade Educators, Vision Rehabilitation Therapists, Low Vision Specialists, and Rehabilitation Counselors.NCCVIB is a statewide collaborative effort of the:vEarly Learning Sensory Support for Children with Visual ImpairmentsvFriends of the North Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically HandicappedvGovernor Morehead School for the Blind (GMS)vNorth Carolina Association for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (NCAER)vNorth Carolina Central University (NCCU) Visual Impairment Teacher Training ProgramvNorth Carolina Division of Services for the Blind (NCDSB)vNorth Carolina Department of Public Instruction Sensory Support and Assistive Technology (NCDPI)vNorth Carolina Library for the Blind and Physically HandicappedvUNC Department of Allied Health SciencesvThe EYE Retreat (serving as fiscal agent for the Conference)Conference HistoryThe conference was first held in 2002 on the campus of The Governor Morehead School (GMS) in Raleigh. Prior to that, the various agencies held their own independent conferences. The VI agencies decided to combine their efforts towards a single collaborative venture and used the GMS venue at first, but the Conference quickly outgrew the GMS space.Since 2014, the conference has been held in conference hotel venues that can accommodate attendees and presenters in a highly convenient manner. Secondly, holding the conference in various venues across the state allows organizations/businesses, such as those who are here at the 2020 NCCVIB conference, to showcase their efforts in serving the visual impairment community.

Registration Deadlines
1.  Early Bird Registration (Thursday, December 27 to Monday, January 21.  $137 or $69)
2.  Regular Registration (Tuesday, January 22 to Monday, February 18.  $157 or $80)
3.  Late Registration (Tuesday, February 19 to Tuesday, March 5.  $188 or $95)
*We have already included the Eventbrite electronic payment service fee in the cost of registration.  There was no increase in NCCVIB Registration base fees for 2019.
