Take this 1-Day course to get certified for your North Carolina Concealed Carry Permit!!

Eagle 1

This class is 8 hours long and consists of a classroom portion which teaches the laws governing the use of deadly force in North Carolina, firearm safety, marksmanship basics and a live fire shooting qualification on the range. Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a state certified official certificate required for the NC concealed carry handgun permit. Each student will also receive a free 1 year membership to Eagle 1 firing range. We recommend that you bring your own firearms and ammunition to the live fire portion but firearms and ammunition will be available to rent for an additional fee ($25). Ear and Eye Protection will also be available to those who don't have any for no additional fee.We will take a 30 minute lunch break and snacks/drinks will be available.

During this class portion we will discuss and learn the rules of  gun safety, define the term "handgun", learn about the different types of handguns, review marksmanship fundamentals and prepare for the Shooting Proficiency Exam.

All about Handguns!

Once the class has been adequately prepared for the live fire shooting portion, I will administer the exam to each individual student one by one. Each student will be expected to fire 10 rounds at a stationary target at 3 yards, 5 yards and 7 yards for a total of 30 rounds.

Students are recommended to Bring a lunch or snack. Some drinks and other refreshments will be available at no additional cost.

Lunch / Snack break

During this portion, we will review and discuss the laws governing the use of deadly force in the state of North Carolina which includes NC common law as well as statutory law. We will also discuss firearm storage options, how to obtain your CCH permit as well as state to state reciprocity.

Legal Discussion!

At this time, I will administer the written legal exam. Students are expected to score an 80 or higher on this portion in order to receive your certificate for this course. 

Written Exam!

Once you have completed and passed the written exam, each student will receive a state certified certificate that is required for your NC Concealed Carry Handgun permit. Once you receive your certificate, the class is officially complete!
