About this event

  • 1 hour 15 minutes

Wonder how to get your volunteer groups to be more effective in contributing to your association’s work? Want to have a better relationship with your volunteer leaders? Don’t feel like you get the right respect from your volunteers?

Join us for a virtual training where you will gain the skills and confidence in working with volunteers. The 75-minute program will cover the basic roles and skills needed to effectively serve as a liaison to volunteers whether you are working with a specific volunteer committee/group or individual volunteers. We’ll also cover the latest trends in association volunteering.

This session is designed to stand-alone, as well as serve as a preparatory session for our full-day immersive program on July 10 in Alexandria. In July, you’ll explore strategies, techniques and tools to help you make the most of the staff-volunteer relationship. Use this link to learn more and register for the full 2-part program.

Who should attend? This program is ideal for staff managing volunteer programs and staff liaisons to specific volunteer groups whether you are new to the role or a seasoned pro.
