Aperçu

A workshop presented by NaviCare/SoinsNavi's Family Advisory Council for caregivers with children and youth with complex care needs.

NaviCare/SoinsNavi's Family Advisory Council is holding the first ever Navigating your Journey workshop! This event would not be possible without the Royal Society of Canada (Atlantic chapter), who has provided funding for this exciting event.

Caregivers with a child or youth with complex care needs are welcome to attend this FREE event whether their child has an official diagnosis or not. Lunch is also included, so please inform us at least 2 weeks in advance should you have a food allergy or dietary restriction.

The workshop is based on the Journey Map, a tool that the Family Advisory Council developed for families with children and youth with complex care needs. The Journey Map is a detailed diagram that illustrates families' milestones that occur throughout their child’s life. Speakers will include parents and professionals covering topics such as:

  1. The Beginning and Where do I Start?
  2. The First Appointment and What Happens Now?
  3. Acceptance and Dealing with Change.
  4. Gaining Independence and Moving Forward.

Please register by October 18th to let us know about any dietary restrictions. We cannot guarantee accommodations for dietary restrictions after this date.

For more information on the event and speakers please visit our website.
