Our opening Friday keynote speaker, Kris Munsch, is an Assistant Professor at Fort Hays State University. He lost his sixteen-year-old son, Blake, in a tragic automobile accident on December 23, 2005. Overnight, Kris went from being a highly successful business owner to a reclusive basement-dweller. In 2009, he partnered with Jeff Fouquet to develop and write The Birdhouse Project: A Collaboration of The Heart, Mind and Hands. In honor of his son, Kris has traveled the lower 48 states, living out of his vehicle, teaching the metaphor of the birdhouse and hoping this challenge will lead to new levels of self-discovery. Kris’s presentations and workshops are 100% from the heart, in the moment, and filled with his life story of struggle after the death of his son. For more information go online at http://www.thebirdhouseproject.com/

Our closing Friday speaker will be Carla Blowey (www.dreamingkevin.com)
Carla Blowey has gained insight, guidance and wisdom from her dreams for more than 25 years. In 1991, at age 33, she entered the most painful and challenging time of her life when the death of her five-year-old son, Kevin, and the nightmare that predicted it, forced her to re-examine her perceptions about death, grief and the afterlife. Carla is a Certified Dream Work Facilitator through the Marin Institute for Projective Dream Work with director, Dr. Jeremy Taylor. She is also a member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams.
