Nature Connection for Beginners: Restoring Well-Being and Presence in Nursing Practice is an experiential learning retreat for nurses.
Nursing’s roots are deeply intertwined with nature‑based healing traditions, yet modern healthcare environments often separate nurses from the natural world. This introductory course explores the historical relationship between nursing and nature, examines societal and professional factors contributing to nature estrangement, and reviews current scientific evidence demonstrating how nature connection supports nurse well‑being, resilience, and professional presence. Participants will awaken all six senses, learn simple, accessible nature‑connection practices that they can integrate into daily life and clinical settings to support emotional regulation, cognitive clarity, and holistic health.
Nursing Professionals will earn 5 Contact Hours through Debriefing the Frontlines, Inc., for attending this workshop.
This is not an ordinary nursing education program. Nurses will be immersed in the natural oasis Figmint Farms offers- tall pine forest, small lake surrounded by a walking path and deck, herbal garden, firepit, and open-air pergola. Build community with other nurses. Be treated to a delicious lunch provided by award-winning Sassool Restaurant.
Think a RETREAT for nurses where you learn how to live a more joyful, vibrant, awe-inspiring life in harmony with the natural world!
