Native Seed Dumpling Workshop
Overview

Learn about Hilltop's Native Plants Program in this seed workshop!

Learn about Hilltop's Native Plants Program in this seed dumpling workshop; a great hands-on activity to sow native plants that support our local pollinator and insect populations. All seeds are local-ecotype and grown here on the farm. Pre-registration is required; $5 /person.

Inspired by the Japanese tradition, Tsuchi Dango, meaning "Earth Dumpling," seed dumplings are a form of sowing seed for protection from wildlife while providing the seeds with what they need to germinate, resulting in a ball, or "dumpling," of soil and seed.
