Native Seed Farm Volunteer Events

Cultivating native plants is essential, especially with the challenge of extreme wildfires and severe climate events. The farm aims to provide the seed inventory for any essential restoration. Join us for an enlightening and educational volunteer event!

Our long-term goal for this project has been to establish a native seed farm, giving us the ability to collect the seed for future restoration and conservation projects, particularly in areas prone to disturbances such as wildfire and climate change. The volunteer event will consist of cleaning native seed to ensure viability in long-term storage. Staff will provide training to ensure volunteers are using best practices. This activity is appropriate for ages 5 and up; anyone under the age of 18 will need a guardian present. This event will run from 9 am to 12 am. Come prepared:Please bring water, sunscreen, and a sun hat. Wearing hiking attire, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts is required.
