Native Pollinators Workshop

Spokane Edible Tree Project is a nonprofit gleaning organization who mobilzes volunteers to gather fruit that would otherwise go to waste, empowering the community to share in the harvest of fruit and nut trees. We envision a thriving urban area where edible trees are healthy and utilized, and offer education on fruit tree care and preservation.

Spokane Edible Tree Project

Fruit tree pollination is an integral part of tree care in order for fruit to develop. Some fruit trees need more than one tree in the vicinity in order to produce fruit, and some can stand alone. What they all have in common is the need for the attraction of insects, bees, birds, and other integral species to aid in the pollination process.
If you are interested in using native plant species to attract pollinators to your fruit tree or garden, then this is the class for you! Learn the basics about what to plant, where to plant, and what to look for to attract in this workshop. 
This class will be taught jointly by native plant expert and Master Gardener Eva Lusk, along with Master Gardener Coordinator Tim Kohlauff. 
Sunday, April 7th, 1-2:30PM Niche Coworking, 25 W Main Ave. 3rd Floor $12. Proceeds benefit Spokane Edible Tree Project.
