Native Plant Workshop
Join us for a Native Plant Workshop to learn how native plants support pollinators and healthy ecosystems, with free seedlings for attendees
Join the Eastern Connecticut Watershed Network in partnership with Wild Ones and Otis Library for a Native Plant Workshop focused on how native plants support pollinators, improve soil and water health, and create more resilient landscapes.
This workshop will explore the importance of native plants and their role in supporting local ecosystems. Participants will learn how native species provide critical habitat for pollinators and wildlife, help absorb stormwater, reduce runoff, and contribute to healthier soil and water systems. The session will also cover practical considerations for incorporating native plants into your yard or community space, including how to choose the right plants for your site and maintain them over time.
Whether you are new to native gardening or looking to build on your knowledge, this workshop offers approachable, real-world guidance that can be applied at home or in your community.
All attendees will receive free native seedlings to take home, including a variety of pollinator-friendly plants and other native garden species, while supplies last.
