Enjoy a day of railroad fun and history for all ages with operating interactive model train layouts, family-friendly activities, costumed railroad characters, music, crafts, games, giveaways, station and caboose tours, merchandise vendors, and a food truck. New this year, we're partnering with the Historic Boxwood Inn which will offer tours and a light lunch.

Do I need to purchase tickets in advance?

No, tickets will be available at the gate. You will incur a small convenience fee by purchasing online in advance, but you will not need to wait in line when you arrive.

Are the Lee Hall Depot and National Train Day Celebration accessible for wheelchair users?

All exhibits and program activities are accessible with the exception of the second floor apartment and the caboose.

Where should guests park?

In addition to the parking spaces around the Depot, there is a gravel lot behind the station alongside the railroad tracks. There is more parking across Warwick Boulevard from Lee Hall Depot.

Is there a set schedule for the day?

The day begins at 10am and ends at 4pm. You will want to allow at least 45 minutes, but probably quite a bit longer, to visit all the areas and activities. Activities will be continuous throughout the day as supplies last.
