FREE Narcan® (Naloxone) Training

The New Lenox Safe Community Coalition, in partnership with the Will County Health Department, is offering FREE Narcan® training on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, as a VIRTUAL EVENT.

Kathleen Burke PhD, Substance Use Initiatives, Behavioral Health Division, Will County Health Department, will be the presenter for this class. Narcan® (Naloxone) is a medicine that blocks the effects of opioids and reverses a drug overdose. The combination of training and having a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit can save a life!

With accidental fentanyl poisonings on the rise, Fentanyl is finding its way into many substances and unsuspectingly, more overdose deaths are occurring. This is all the more reason to take this training and have a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit with you.

Dr. Burke will provide everyone in attendance with a Narcan® Nasal Spray Kit, upon completion of the training.

For additional questions about the Narcan® (Naloxone) training, contact Megan Applegate, Safe Community Coordinator, Village of New Lenox, by email, mapplegate@newlenox.net or by phone (815) 462-6427.
