What You’ll Gain

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a safe, confidential space. The course provides an opportunity for mutual support and growth. Experience compassion and understanding from people who relate to your experiences. This is a place to learn more about recovery in an accepting environment.
NAMI Peer-to-Peer helps you:

  • Set a vision and goals for the future
  • Partner with health care providers
  • Develop confidence for making decisions
  • Practice relaxation and stress reduction tools
  • Share your story
  • Strengthen relationships
  • Enhance communication skills
  • Learn about mental health treatment options

NAMI Peer-to-Peer Class will be held weekly on Saturdays starting June 8th, 2024 and ending on July 27th, 2024 from 1-3pm PST. Participants can only miss one of the 8 class dates to still receive a Certificate of Completion. Certificate of Completion is required if you want to become a NAMI Peer-to-Peer Teacher.

Confidentiality: Peer-to-Peer participants discuss personal and sensitive information that requires that privacy and confidentiality be upheld by all participants and facilitators. Confidentiality can only be broken if an individual is at risk of immediate danger to him or herself or others.
