Complete your own stained glass nameplate suncatcher! Choose and cut your own glass to create a 1" border around a laser-engraved nameplate! The nameplates will be engraved on mild textured clear glass (seeded glass is shown in the photos) and measure approximately 1.5" tall by 6" long. We will use strip cutters, hand tools, and grinders to design our own frames.

The laser engraving on the clear glass shows up great on a dark background. Sunny windows or light colors behind the glass can cause it to be harder to see. Great display options would be on a plate stand (not supplied at the studio) or hung against a wall or in a shady window.
We'll foil and solder the glass pieces together for this class. We will be using sharp glass, hot soldering irons, and poisonous chemicals during the class. A signed liability waiver is required to participate. Nitrile gloves are provided during the class.
