Course Summary

Construction Administration (CA) Best Practices is a 90-minute training program designed for small to mid-size subcontracting companies that provides an overview of the construction administration process and highlights the critical components of construction documentation.


Learning Objectives

Attendees of this course will come away with:

· A complete picture of what makes up a set of construction documents

· A general understanding of the structure and function of construction documentation

· A set of tips for eliminating risk from subcontracts with effective document control


Presenter Bio:


Ozzie Gonzalez is a serial entrepreneur and former architect with experience spanning both large international corporations and small family-owned businesses. Over his 25-year career, he has developed and delivered more than 100 educational programs for professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction. He has also served as an advisor to public agencies on contracting and procurement policies.


Ozzie has held leadership roles on multiple boards, including the Oregon Association of Minority Entrepreneurs (OAME) and the Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC). Most recently, he served as Board President for TriMet.


Currently, he is the Founder and Owner of P3 Consulting, a specialized firm dedicated to helping business leaders and organizations create strategic roadmaps for future success. He also serves on Oregon’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs and is actively supporting Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in advancing the Respectful Workplace Initiative—an effort aimed at improving the psychological health and safety of workers in the construction trades
