About this event

The NAACP Co-op City Branch - 50th Anniversary Banquet

Attire: Semi-Formal

Dear Friends and Supporters:

The Co-op City Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will celebrate its 50th Anniversary Banquet, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, 4:00 p.m. at Scavello's on the Island, located at 101 City Island Avenue, Bronx, NY 10464.

This year’s theme:"Black Resistance," focuses on the resistance of historic and ongoing oppression in all forms for Black Americans.

In this tumultuous political and legal climate, the NAACP is as relevant today as when it was founded 114 years ago; and it continues to advance its sacred mission — to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.

On behalf of the Co-op City Branch, we thank you for your time, commitment, and support. If you have any questions or require additional information, please call Brenda Brown at 718-671-3748 or email at: naacpcoopbb@yahoo.com.
