The Mystic Krewe of Caritas Bal Masque XV is an exciting and enchanting event you definitely don't want to miss! Join us on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 6:00 PM at the fabulous Boutwell Auditorium (1930 Reverend Abraham Woods Junior Boulevard, Birmingham, AL 35203). DOORS OPEN AT 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m.

100% OF TICKET PROCEEDS RECEIVED BY MKC WILL BE DONATED TO THE MAGIC CITY ACCEPTANCE CENTER.

Get ready to immerse yourself in a night of fun and revelry as we present Denim and Diamonds! We have a fabulous slate of entertainers from across the community ready to recreate classic rags-to-riches stories and bring some of your favorite TV shows and movies to life on-stage with dance sequences, floats, and back pieces.

The dress code for the event is after 5 or better, with all gender expression welcome! Regalia only for current, reigning royalty and titleholders, please.

Frequently asked questions

I can't come but would like to make a donation. How can I do that?

We hate to miss you! If you would like to make a donation, you can click Tickets, and then scroll to Donation and enter your information. Each $50 will be used to grant a community member who would not be able to otherwise attend one seat at the ball + a dollar-for-dollar contribution to MCAC.

Where do I park?

Street parking is limited around Boutwell Auditorium. Most guests choose to park in the parking deck located next to the Boutwell at 801 19th St N, Birmingham, AL 35203. Both street and garage parking subject to charge by the city.

Is there a dress code?

We use "After 5 or Better" as a benchmark, but, ultimately, we want you to come dressed how you are comfortable. Guest attires generally ranges from dark pants and a button-down shirt to costumes, tuxedos, ball gowns, and everything in between. All gender expression is welcome.

I want to wear a tuxedo or evening gown. Will I feel overdressed?

Absolutely not! Will we have plenty of guests in formal attire.

Will food be served?

We will not have a dinner service at the event. However, our tables will provide light snacks to enjoy as you watch the show.

Will there be a bar, and what payment does it accept?

Yes! We will have bars set up in Boutwell from which you can purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The bar will be cashless (per City of Birmingham), so please make sure to bring a debit card, credit card, etc.

I'm a former titleholder or royalty member. May I wear my regalia?

We ask that only current, reigning titleholders and royalty wear their regalia, please.

What is Magic City Acceptance Center, your beneficiary?

MCAC supports LGBTQ+ youth and their allies across Alabama and provides many crucial services to the community, including social justice workshops; DE&I training to corporations, organizations, and groups; free HIV/STI testing and education; self-care workshops; and inclusive proms and other events.
